Bomb On A Budget: Baby, Its Cold Outside

So, here it is, that brief moment between Fall and Winter where I still have hope to survive. I can pack up now and go back to a life where the world stops when there's one inch of snow, or I can thug it out.

These are my thoughts as I'm looking in my closet, preparing to face 30 degree weather AND SLAY. On this particular day, the wind was blowing at such a high speed I thought my drawstring ponytail was going to fly into the streets of Manhattan and I would be the next hot meme. My bad, was that too real? 😂

And to think, "New Yorkers" were actually perusing the city saying, " Ot's beautiful weather don't you think?" In response my sentiments, in my best NY accent would be, "Nah, son." Just kidding, the weather was breezy, but the foliage varying in hues such as orange, green, purple, red and yellows made me feel as though I was literally walking within a work of art.

I threw on multiple layers this day before heading to Central Park to frolic in the leaves: my HnM blazer ($15) with beading details, a Tan Bebe sweater, a pair of thrifted velour trousers, a pair of fun socks from Urban Outfitters to tie the colors together and my favorite tie-up boots. For my outer coat I wore my favorite tan coat from Charlotte Russe, I purchased it a year ago for just $20. Again, this NY weather is no joke so to protect my neck I wrapped a fur around my neck that my grandmother gave me and threw on a pair of leather gloves with bows on them. Enjoy the photos of my winter slay below!
