I been gone for a minute now I'm back with the jump off *inserts Harlem shake here*!
I haven't been in jail like the previously quoted Lil Kim; however I have been confined to my apartment a lot because my peace of mind requires solitude, which is rare in New York City.
A few weeks ago I decided to splurge and blow a whopping $25 at an eclectic thrift store in Brooklyn. On a petty but honest note, I'm not sharing the deets on this store and if you ask where I got any items from there in person, I will say it was a "gift" lol, but really tho .
Upon my fashion voyage I found a chambre tank with a blue/white plaid collar. I paired the vintage top with a pair of my favorite jeans that I got from Old Navy for just $17.I'm loving the denim-on-denim trend and with this particular outfit, I think the contrast between the darker and lighter denim is daring, yet chic.
To accessorize I sported a beaded choker and a fedora I thrifted that old men always compliment me on. I also decided to add some color to this look and accentuate the plaid detailing on the collar of my shirt with a plaid button-up wrapped around my waist (Old Navy).
I'm currently searching for apartments and found a cute little community garden to parlay in. I'd finally found peace annnnnnd the perfect place to prop my tripod without hearing, "Aye yo' ma!". I love the Big Apple, but I'm a southern girl at heart. Trees and greenery have a special place in my heart so finding this garden meant so much more to me than just a pit stop on my way to the store.
Enjoy the photos below!
