Make Time For What You Love

Hey babies!
So between Prince's death and Beyonce snatching my edges; I've been a bi-polar mess. Just when I started to feel like music was rapidly losing influential legends, Beyonce dropped Lemonade and gave me hope for music again.
I'm not even going to discuss the two legends and their works any further, I'm saving that for another post because I would go on all day if I could; however I want to apologize again for skipping a post on Wednesday.
I'm currently making a huge life transition (*sigh* no, not that kind of transition guys) and it's been difficult to allocate time to my blog but I woke up bright and early this morning to explore Atlanta's Candler Park area and take photos. Simply finding new and beautiful spaces to capture and serve as a background for my outfit brought me a sense of joy that is almost unfathomable.
When I venture out to take photos for my blog it's so much more that goes into it than setting a timer and jumping in front of the camera. Most times it takes about 10 times to find a good pose and going back-and-forth between locations until I find one that compliments my outfit perfectly. During this process I learn so much about myself what angles flatter me, what aesthetic I'm naturally drawn to, etc. What's most interesting about this process are the passerbyers who see me laughing ( to myself) and posing all by my lonesome. At first the awkward stares would make me pose but now I keep going. Today I met two men who were on break from work, one of which complimented my outfit which led to a great convo about my career and he suggested a few of his favorite bloggers and suggested I look them up for inspo.
In the mist of familial crisis and purple clouds that faded into black, taking the time to create calmed me and in a way, connected me to another creative.
I don't care how hectic life gets for you, make time for what you love. I promise you, when I take the time to create my mind is so much clearer and I know that whatever it is I created can ultimately inspire someone and that alone gives me peace. In this thing we call life, that peace, that calm, is necessary and if you're blessed enough to have found something that brings you that, don't take it for granted.
Expect a post from soon about creating schedules for productivity and passion, in the meantime here a few photos from my adventure today and my outfit deets are below.
