Like most girls my age, I'm always spending my money on clothes, food or beauty/hair products. All of these things certainly make me happy, don't get me wrong but I noticed that once all my money is spent on looking good I can barely afford to do activities and experience things I enjoy.
This pay period I was a good girl, I saved a good amount of money bypassed the beauty supply store and decided to invest in experiences. A few days ago I chowed down at a Caribbean spot with a few of my friends and my most recent adventure involved a bike and a camera lol. I could've spent by day behind the computer or in the house, but the weather was so beautiful I had to get out and do something.

I've been begging my friends to go biking across the Atlanta Belt Line for what feels like ages; I'd been once before with my mom and had a blast, so I of course wanted to experience this with my besties. Due to busy schedules we haven't been able to make this happen. To make a long story short, I got tired of waiting on other people lol. If I spend my life waiting to experience things that make me happy with other people, I may never experience them.I enjoy my own company, if I must say so myself I am afun person to hang out with so I don't mind embarking on adventures alone and I strongly suggest that more people try to enjoy their own company.
I originally went to the Belt Line to treat myself to Jake's Ice cream and take photos of the street art, but the little girl in me kept saying, "Girl you know you want to ride a bike...do it! I double dog dare you!" And you know me, I don't ever turn down a dare (actually I do, but play along). So I packed up my camera, and rented a bike for 2 hours for just $10. For $10 I got exercise, some time to clear my mind, chatted with some cool people and saw breathtaking art from some of Atlanta's best local artists. That $10 could have went towards lipstick or concealer, but neither of those would have been as fun.

While on my voyage I wore a lace top I got from Marshall's for $11.99 and a pair of teal, flared pants I thrifted. As for shoes I wore a pair of comfy tie-up, nude flats I purchased for $20 from Love Culture. Oh and I stole this fringe EXPRESS bag from my mom a long time ago and kept it until one day she forgot it was hers...thanks mom! Also, I did an ombre lip with this outfit; the weather called for a daring red lip so I used Wet N' Wild's flat finish pigment gloss (make sure your lips are moisturized before use). I used the color Black Currant, which is a deep purple to line my lips for an ombre effect and in the center I used Instinct, which is a bright red. I hope you enjoy this look and you're inspired to invest in new experiences this season. What are some activities you want to experience this Spring?
