Hey baes!
This Monday I met up with my job to discuss the opening of Lavazza on Peacthree, after months of hearing that the opening date was pushed back, I was excited to hear that we'd be opening in just two weeks. For me, this means more than just free coffee but this means I get to do more of what I love, which is plan and execute promotional and branding ideas for a coffee shop (yall, I love coffee, I'm addicted to it, I just-I could go on forever).
After receiving this great news and getting the ok for a social media campaign I proposed, I treated myself to brunch at Sweet Melissa's. Here's the thing, I forgot the name of what I ordered but it consisted of an omelet with artichoke hearts, portubella mushrooms and a bunch other stuff that makes you need a mint afterwards, yet satisfies every single tastebud. For my two sides I had their home fries and shrimp and grits. For those who don't know, ya' girl can eat, but the portions were so huge that I needed a to-go box (and the food tasted just as amazing the next day).
I then pranced around downtown Decatur and even went into a nifty book store I used to go to as a child called, "The Little Shop of Stories."
I felt good and looked just as good that day, so I decided to snap some pics of myself in a silk high-low dress i purchased from Marshall's a few years ago, a leather jacket I thrifted (it's light, which makes it the perfect transition peace in the sunny yet windy weather) and ofcourse my favorite and only sneakers lol, my Pumas (it's a joke, I have other sneakers). Seriously, my Pumas are oober comfortable and go with anything, they can make any outfit look effortlessly chic, I've never been so proud about a shoe splurge in my life lol. More than likely, I'll be getting another pair very soon.
Oh and how can I forgot the fabulous shades I purchased at a consignment shop for just 7.50, WINNING!
Anywho, take a gander at the easy and breezy look I put together to spend a day out in the city and get inspired to go out and enjoy this spring weather. Go outside to read a book , buy icecream, go bike riding, hell, get a tan!
