Twas the night before New Years and all through the house- I was lit!

Yes, champagne bottle in hand, draped in velvet with my high bun and bangs laid for the gawds.

Every New Year, it's the same old same; shifty plans, long lines, crazy people, etc. Per usual, I wasn't sure exactly what I would be doing when 2016 rolled in but I knew my outfit had to be BOMB. Even if I ended up in my living room by my lonesome with my hookah and a glass of wine, I declared 2016 the year of "Fleek."

Ever since I can remember I've had this crazy obsession with Clueless and all of it's fashion/humorous glory. I absolutely live for Cher's fashion moment at the house party, you know the infamous scene where Brittany Murphy gets knocked out by a plastic bottle and sings "Rolling With the Homies?"

Now that we're on the same page, remember that tiny red dress Cher wore with the jacquard red coat and black feathers? Well I wanted a look just as fun and fabulous as the 90's fashionista but there's only one problem-ya girl is broke (not for long tho, year of "Fleek" pockets included).

Being the DIY queen I am I headed to Michael's and purchased two feather boas for 4.99; I then hot glued them to the hem of a black velvet dress and a pair of Dollhouse heels. I then used the left over material to hot glue four rows onto a clutch that was practically ruined and voila!

Me and my bestie then headed to Sound Table where we listened (well danced rachetly) to the tunes of an Atlanta fave, DJ MIKKOH at an event titled 'Bae' (certainly fitting).

Below you can peep the photos I took in my homemade outfit before hitting these ATL screets. My bestie even told me my outfit was giving her Clueless the Rihanna edition, I lived!
